WELCOME TO CHEster sinfoniA

We are a group of enthusiastic amateur musicians who meet once a fortnight in Chester.

Our conductor is Helen Thomas and rehearsals are held at St Thomas of Canterbury Parish Hall, Parkgate Road, Chester, CH1 4AG, on alternate Friday evenings from 7.00 to 9.00 pm with a short break. Our repertoire consists of symphonies and other works which are suitable for a small orchestra.

We would love to welcome more string players. There is no audition, just come along and give it a go but please contact us first! We do not aim to give formal concerts but may perform occasionally for charity or friends and family.

We ask members to provide their own music which can easily be downloaded free of charge from IMSLP. The charge per session is £3. Our venue in Chester is easily accessible by car and has good parking.
